Like the previous PetSafe model, the PetSafe Stay and Play uses no wires other than the A/C adapter for the transmitter. It is portable and can be set up quickly and easily (approx 1-2 hours) The PetSafe Stay+Play transmitter is approximately 67% smaller and lighter, has a longer range, and works with smaller dogs than the previous PIF-300 model.
Easy to Set Up
The PetSafe Stay+Play wireless electric dog fence is very easy to install. You don’t have to bury wires or set fence posts. It takes 1-2 hours to set up. Everything needed comes with the system, except a power outlet! Simply plug in the transmitter, after the collar has charged, put it on your dog and teach your pet where the boundaries are. The PetSafe Stay+Play Wireless Fence Transmitter
The transmitter for the PIF00-12917 PetSafe Stay and Play system is 67% smaller than the prior transmitters and covers up to 3/4 of an acre (210 foot diameter/105 foot radius). This coverage area can be adjusted based on your yard and how far you want your dog to be able to venture from the transmitter. From the largest diameter of 210 feet, it can be reduced to as low as a 44 feet diameter (22 foot radius.)
New Collar that works for smaller dogs
The PetSafe Stay and Play uses smaller waterproof collars. These work for dogs 5 pounds and up and fit neck sizes from 6-28″. The best improvement is that these collars are rechargeable. You will not need to purchase batteries anymore like some of the other systems. There are 5 levels of correction plus a tone only mode. Also, there is an automatic safety that will stop the correction after 15 seconds.
Expand the PetSafe Stay+Play Wireless Electric Dog Fence System!
Do you want to let your dog roam more than 3/4 of an acre? Maybe you have several dogs. This system is great for these situations. The PetSafe Stay and Play dog fence will allow you to add additional transmitters to expand the containment area. Also, the transmitter is compatible with the original PetSafe system (PIF-300), so if you are upgrading, you can still use your prior system. You can add additional collars to allow more dogs to play in the containment area, and the receiver collars for the PIF-300 system are also compatible!
